A mature person is one who does not think only in absolutes, who is able to be objective even when deeply stirred emotionally, who has learned that there is both good and bad in all people and in all things, and who walks humbly and deals charitably with the circumstances of life, knowing that in this world no one is all knowing and therefore all of us need both love and charity. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Aha! I’m not the only one…

Filed under: John Kerry — Kerryvisionary @ 7:15 pm

Thanks to Noisy Democrat, who brought this to my attention, I find I’m not the first to have blogged about John Kerry’s superpowers!  The Rude Pundit extolled them just before the 2004 election, far more concretely and pungently than I, in a post that has me cheering and wishing I’d known about it in those tense days so I could have shown it to everyone I know.

  1. Oh. My. GAWD.

    I want to frame that.

“Here’s the deal - what’s been missing from the entire Kerry campaign is just how tough a motherfucker John Kerry really, actually is, and it’s got jackshit to do with hunting geese and killing the Vietcong. Kerry is a superhero, the kind of valiant son of a bitch who doesn’t give a rat’s ass about his own life in order to make the lives of others better.”

    Yes, I cried.

  2. Yep, my feelings exactly. If only more people had seen this when it was published…but in any case, it’s still true!

  4. Totally agree with you, mbk. Hey, it’s like they say on the T: “if you see something, say something”: we have to keep telling people what we see when we see JK if we’re ever going to break through the obfuscation and lies that have clouded so many people’s vision.

[By the way, of course I’m actually disturbed by the whole philosophy of that T announcement, but if I can use it to say something I do believe in… :-) ]
