Having dipped my toes into the blogging pool over at http://www.welovejohnkerry.com/ and worked with Democrafty and DreamingofKerry to create a blog that incorporated both our ideals and our sense of fun, I have decided to swim out a little on my own and dedicate this new blog to my own musings and thoughts about John Kerry and what his example means to me.
This blog will not generally be especially timely or politically relevant; my view is much more personal and philosophical. I hope I will be able to express here some of the insights I have gained from observing Senator Kerry’s work and history.
John Kerry is not some pasteboard, perfect, two-dimensional hero. He is a human being, one who very much fits Eleanor Roosevelt’s definition of “a mature person”, which is given prominent place at the head of the blog.
He often acts heroically, but that is not what makes him my hero. What makes him my hero is the way he lives his life. In every stage of his life, he has looked at his circumstances, assessed his abilities and applied his values to the action that seems to him the most honorable. He has dedicated himself to service – to his country, to his brothers and sisters in arms and to his ideals.
John Kerry is my hero because he is compassionate, he is principled and he is honest. He is sustained by a genuine religious faith and he expresses it in the best possible way, through his deeds and through his own consistent personal ethics. His moral compass is true and it keeps him on course.
John Kerry is my hero because he has always been consistent. He is steadily true to his oath of office, his family, his cherished wife Teresa Heinz Kerry and his commitment to fighting for a better America and a better world. The light of his sincerity, and the dignity and honor with which he lives his life shine through the current darkness of fear and hate that is clouding our nation. His example of strength and courage under fire gives me hope for our future.
So, welcome! I hope you will share positive insights about John Kerry, if you are so inclined, by leaving comments now and then. I look forward to hearing from you!
Finally, I am not very technologically advanced, so I would like to thank the dear friends who helped me with setting up and designing this site and the others who listened and encouraged. You know who you are!
Congratulations on the beautiful new blog! Your title says it all and speaks for many people.

Oh, it’s just wonderful to bookmark another Kerry blog. There certainly are a lot of us who just get what makes this man a hero.

Visionary,
We share the same view of Senator John Kerry, the person. He has contributed much to this nation both in peace and in times of war. But he has never lost his ability to see clearly through the haze of propaganda or ideology.
Good luck with your new website! The format is impressive and I am looking forward to more of your entries. I shall be linking to you and hope this brings you even more success!

Thank you for what you are doing. I am one of his Band of Brothers, proud to have served with him as a fellow Swift Boat skipper, and to have campaigned hard with the other brothers: Rassmann, Medieros, Sandusky, Thorson, Alston, Zaladonis, Wasser, Barker, Whitlow, Hatch, Runyon, Short, Langhofer, and Cleland, as many of us did, for our friend in ‘04. Proud to have stood with him and his crewmates when he reported for duty at the convention, and proud to stand with him now. The lies and the hate directed at our friend are a testament to the truth he tells to the liars and fear-mongers. We need to keep fighting for the restoration of dignity and decency to our nation’s leadership and John Kerry has set the standard.

Beautifully put, and I share those same feelings.
After this week I have decided to use a name I used right after the ‘04 election. You see I find my values, ny hopes, my dreams for this country the world and for my kids and future grandkids, interpreted through John Kerry and he speaks for me. I have been waiting a long time for a true leader in our party. I know I have found him and I am a proud Kerry Democrat.
Keep spreading the truth.

I am proud of my support of John Kerry and wish everyone a New Year of hope and heartfelt friendship. Let the polls go up and down. Let the bloggers run from our Democratic candidates who have shown what genuine heroes they are. They will see who is tenacious and steadfast and experienced and who is a young sapling not ready to bear the load.
Peace, Love and Understanding don’t go out of style in my world. Do what’s right, say the truth, and let the chips fall where they may.

Kerryvisionary,
John Kerry is still my hero as well.
It has been a very sad day for me. But this is just the end of one chapter in Senator Kerry’s life, and the beginning of the rest of the story as Paul Harvey, that noted radio broadcaster, would say. (His politics are, however, a bit to the right of mine
)
Senator Kerry deserves our continued support. He has been the victim of multiple smears and attacks that have eroded even his Democratic supporters. It is unfortunate that even liberals need to be concerned about the web of lies spun about this decorated war hero.
Just wanted to drop by and say thank you again.
And Kerry on!
